Barbara Seuling wears the many hats of children's book editor, author, illustrator and teacher. For several years Barbara worked as an editor for Delacorte Press and Yearling Books at Dell Publishing Company. Later, she moved to J. B. Lippincott & Co. As author and/ or illustrator of her own books, Barbara became a featured speaker at many educational and writers' conferences and served for many years on the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators' Board of Advisors. She taught writing at Bank Street College and at The Writer's Voice in New York City before establishing The Manuscript Workshop in Vermont, where she taught the techniques of successful writing for children through her method of informal but structured guidance. Barbara's more than sixty books for children include The Teeny Tiny Woman, Winter Lullaby and Oh No, It's Robert plus its many sequels. For adults, Barbara wrote How to Write a Children's Book and Get It Published, now in its third edition. Barbara and her partner, Winnette Glasgow, live in Manhattan and spend summers in Landgrove, Vermont.
